Autumn is coming to the valley

The nights have been cool, the mornings have been foggy, the Metamora Music Festival has come and gone for this year. It's the fall of the year in the Whitewater Valley.

The Opry Barn will be closed down for the season in mid-November, but we still have a couple of good things on tap for you this year. Three Bluegrass Nights are coming up: September 19 with Mad River Railroad from the Dayton area; October 17 with Tim Coffey & Elk Ridge; and winding up the year Mark Poe & The All American Bluegrass Show on November 21. Details for these and other events can be found on both our facebook page and on the website metamoraMPA.org.

Friday September 25 will more than likely be the last of the Acoustic Final Fridays at the Back Porch of Lane's End for this year. So far the September forecasts look good as far as the weather.

November 7th we'll have Lucky & The Kid at the Opry Barn with Donovan Harris opening. Some of you saw White Lightning Boys earlier this year, you get two of those musicians back for Lucky & The Kid. Donovan Harris made his Metamora debut on the Songwriter Showcase at the Music Festival and got some rave reviews.

In the town of Metamora we'll be very busy all October. Canal Days kicks off the month, with two weekends of Haunted Village following and the month wraps up with Trick or Treat on Saturday October 31. Check out MetamoraIndiana.com for town happenings.
